Eleanor
It's in me to seize every opportunity to develop myself. I prefer to be outside my comfort zone, that's where the possibilities lie. Fortunately, at Kuehne+Nagel they understand that. For example my manager have asked me: ‘What would you like to do within the company? What do you need from us in order to make that possible?’ These questions are the reason I have completed educational courses and led to me having several positions in recent years. I am very much going with the flow and have no clear vision of the future. One thing I know for sure is that I haven't had enough of the Kuehne+Nagel family.
Eren
As National Air Logistics Warehouse Manager at our Schiphol location, I am responsible for all hard cargo and manage a team of five team leaders, nine foremen and dozens of operators. And do you know what's so great? Diversity is the secret of our success. When I started working for Kuehne+Nagel in 2017, it was mainly a man's world. Today, at my location, at least 40 per cent are women. At all levels. And did you know that we have 14 nationalities in house? We don't create islands, but instead work together. Kuehne+Nagel feels like one big diverse family.
Marloes
'Are you aware of the impact of aviation on the environment?' I get this question often. After all, I work at Kuehne+Nagel in the Business Development Perishables department, at Schiphol. We want to serve customers who import perishables via aviation as well as possible. To answer that question: of course we are aware of the impact of aviation on the environment. That is why we are working with airlines on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a sustainable alternative to paraffin that can reduce emissions by 100 per cent. But that's just one alternative.
