We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal to join our legal team in Vienna. This role provides essential legal and administrative support to our in-house legal counsel, particularly across business units within the Austrian market and wider cluster countries in Central Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a background in law, previous legal work experience, and be seeking a stable, long-term position that offers a balance between professional engagement and personal flexibility in a full or part-time environment. In close cooperation with our Cluster Legal Counsel, you will be in charge of advising various countries within the region in legal matters.
Your Role
In close cooperation with our Cluster Legal Counsel, you will be in charge of advising various countries within the region in legal matters.Your Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts, including customers and carriers, but also with other third parties such as landlords
- Support our business units (Sea-, Air-, Road-, Contract-, Integrated Logistics) with general legal questions
- Cooperation with Kuehne+Nagel’s offices in the region
- Handle administrative legal tasks (approx. 20–30% of role)
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to cross-functional communication on legal topics
- Support the in-house legal counsel (based in Vienna) in day-to-day matters
- Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Professional experience in a commercial law firm or in the legal department of a company is an advantage
- Knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding and transport law are advantageous
- Advisor personality, solution-oriented mindset
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness and resilience and strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Fluency in verbal & written German and English are mandatory. Other languages such as Hungarian or Baltic languages are an additional asset
